Projects

Below are details and links to projects that I am working on, or that I have been involved with.

In the works

Both of these sites are designed with search engine optimization and web standards in mind. The markup is clean, concise and semantic, relying totally on CSS to provide style to the design.

A Hat Box of a Life
WordPress Theme
Status: beta testing
This started out as a roll your own blog engine built with the Ruby on Rails framework. As the blog design progressed a lot quicker than the blog engine the initial idea changed to the development of a custom WordPress theme. The blog engine is now a separate project.
Droylsden Sub Aqua Club
Club website
Status: Released
A small site to detail information about the Droylsden Sub Aqua Club. It provides information to current and prospective members and also provides a means for questions to be submitted for further information.
CSSpress
CSS compressor and optimizer
Status: alpha testing
A command line application that removes unneeded comments and white space from CSS files. Also optimizes a number of CSS properties and values.

On the drawing board

MadBlog
Blog Engine
Status: in my head
The spin off project from the work I was carrying out for isobelmadden.com. It aims to be a light, easy to used publishing system (think more Habari than WordPress).
JPaint
Java paint application
Status: A fledgling program
A Java version of Microsoft's Paint application that comes with Windows.
